Ifö toilets - Form and function
Ifö built its name on manufacturing toilets that are reliable, efficient and attractive.
Founded in 1887, Ifö has produced low-flow toilets since 1972 and high efficiency toilets since 1996.
Ifö toilets have a dual-flush function, the small flush uses 0.5 gallons, the large flush uses
1.1 gallons per flush. The flush volume can be adjusted independently for smaller or larger water
volumes. Continuously producing toilets that are better, more efficient and meeting new needs of
customers, Ifö has traditionally been at the front-end of technological advances in toilet design.
Ifö's newest toilet series - Sign Art, and Sign - capture the newest advances in technology.
A one-piece seamless cistern cover dominates the clean-looking design but also provides a smooth
surface easy to keep clean. Within is a separate inner cistern for the water. Because the water
never comes in contact with the porcelain, no cold condensation forms on the outside. The inner
cistern also muffles the noise of flushing.
The flushing mechanism has been improved as well. By reducing the number of moving parts and
other adjustments, risks of stoppages and deposits that can harm the mechanism are greatly reduced.
Additionally, the inlet and flushing mechanisms are combined as a single unit with a bayonet fitting
making for easy removal and repair.
